Solo Exhibition

‘Sesuatu Yang Something’ is a simple statement presented through the surrealism of a punchline-less joke. It was used as a description for the titles I was initially aiming to develop, that this debut solo show was ‘sesuatu yang sangat something’ (something that is something) to me, and that the title should reflect this passion; A sentence constantly on the tip of my tongue since I allowed myself the flirtation at the idea of a solo presentation. This exhibition showcases visuals based on subjects conjured by the subconscious. I’ve since grown into embodying the synonymous nature of poetry and paint, of Daler Rowney and Britney Spears, the state of self sculpted from the many accumulated cells of other selves. I’ve gained weight and perspective. There is a world where you wrote this sentence and I am reading it. We look like twins right now.
