DAYD (2019)

Do as You do (2019)

or it’s acronym ‘DAYD’ is a photo-text series of two individuals. It encompasses the new feelings that now feel old, comfortable, safe. DAYD is the chosen acronym which sounds like dead: the ego when together, or alone and what’s needed to to continue the partnership. DAYD also sounds like Date, which essentially is what a partnership in the long run becomes: One never ending date. Although to ‘Do as You do’ translates to one individual mirroring exactly what the other does, it is also a call to freedom. What is asked from the two individuals from each other is to do and be themselves as they would, but in the company of another being.
